*Buildings above 4 floors were required to use solar panels*
Deputy Coordination of Distribution of Electric Power Production, Transmission and Distribution Company (Tavanir) said: Buildings that have more than 4 floors or the total area of their floors is more than 1000 square meters are required to use solar panels to get a construction permit. According to Tavanir, Mohsen Zabihi said on Saturday about the measures taken to encourage the owners to use solar energy in buildings: According to the memorandum between Tavanir Company and the Building Engineering System Organization, which was signed at the end of August this year, solar panels are supposed to be used. Solar should be required in new buildings. He added: Based on this, the issuance of construction permits for buildings with 4 floors and above or buildings with a total floor area of more than a thousand square meters will be subject to the use of solar panels. Zabihi stated that this memorandum was signed with the aim of creating a culture to use renewable energies as much as possible while preserving the environment and improving the level of passive defense, and noted that the subject of this memorandum was recently communicated to Tawanir by the high official of the ministry and the CEO of Tawanir. It has also been communicated to all distribution companies.
Deputy distribution coordination of Tavanir company, stating that the capacity of solar systems in each building will be proportional to the roof space, said: In addition to the roofs, it is also possible to install solar systems in the areas and parking lots of these buildings. He pointed out: If those who are applying for a building construction permit do not do this, the building engineering system organization will not issue the necessary approvals, and the distribution companies will not hand over electricity distribution to these applicants. Zabihi added: Distribution companies on behalf of Iran's Renewable Energy and Electricity Productivity Organization (SATBA) will conclude a guaranteed electricity purchase contract for 20 years with the owners of the buildings after the construction of the solar power plant, based on Article 61 of the Law on Reforming the Consumption Pattern. According to him, the rooftop solar power plants are also connected to the national electricity grid and the customers of the building also receive electricity separately from the grid. Tawanir's Deputy for Coordination of Power Distribution continued: In the current situation, with the power cut of the national grid, the power plant will also be disconnected from the grid in terms of grid safety and security issues. Currently, due to the entry of hybrid inverters into the market, if this inverter model is used, it is possible to use the produced energy of the mentioned systems in order to provide electricity for part of the emergency needs of the building and elevator and lighting of public areas.
